Tamil director Thamira passes away due to COVID-19, Venkat Prabhu And Shankar Shanmugam Grieve The Loss
The famous Tamil director Thamira, aged 53 years, passed away on Monday after suffering from COVID-19 complications at a private hospital in Chennai. The seasoned actor Venkat Prabhu paid homage to the director on his sad and early demise. Venkat Prabhu recently updated his Twitter and captioned – “#RIPThamira. Deepest condolences”. Vijay Prabhu’s fans also paid their deepest condolences for the sad demise director by commenting
So as the popular director and producer of Tamil Movies Shankar Shanmugam also paid tribute to the director. Shankar Shanmugam is also an avid social media user and in his recent update on Twitter, he captioned- “I am deeply saddened to know about Director Thamira's sudden demise. I convey my deepest condolences to his family and friends. May his soul Rest in Peace.” The fans of the director liked the gesture and expressed their sorrow by re-tweeting and in the comment box.
Thamira’s original name is Sheik Dawood and survived by three sons and a daughter. He started his career by assisting filmmakers K. Balachander and Bharathiraja. He made his directorial debut in 2010 with Rettaisuzhi and cast both his mentors in the film in lead roles. He was mainly recognized for his films like “Rettaisuzhi” and “Aan Devathai”.
